Lazy Meal: Strawberries + Chocolate Sour Cream

30 Nov

A sweet start to summer.

1. Grate some chocolate.

2. Fold into 250g (8.5oz) of sour cream.

3. Add 1-2 tbs sugar… or if you are chaotic like me and have not an ounce of sugar in the house but a full jar of Windfall Foods Passionfruit Curd from Matakana market you can substitute that!

4. Hull and halve a punnet of strawberries.

5. Place Chocolate Sour Cream in a small dish for friends to dip elegantly.

6. Or tip it on top and share with no-one.

Gah! LOVE Matakana, best meal I have EVER had (and that’s a big call cos I am such a foodie)was at Te Piano in Matakana, you simply must try their balsamic mushrooms if you have not already!

So pleased to see you are using Whitakers chocolate, I love you even more simply for this!

Oh yes, loads of Matakana love… the chilli jam from Windfall at the market or the fabulous (though pricey) cinemas. And hells, yeah for Whitakers! I’ve always had a strange soft spot for it – my mum tells a funny story about how she used to flat with one of the Whitaker boys 🙂

Yum! That looks delicious! I’ve done the sour-cream-and-brown-sugar dip, but chocolate sounds even better 🙂

Mmm, yum! Have you tried it with muscovado sugar – the extra dark brown sugar? That’s beautiful too 🙂
